Carbamazepine Extended Release Tablets (Zen Retard) – Dosage

Use Carbamazepine Extended Release Tablets (Zen Retard) as directed by your doctor.
A extended-release formulation of Carbamazepine delivers the same dose over a longer period of time when compared to a standard formulation, thereby reducing post-dose peaks and potentially reducing adverse events associated with peak plasma levels.
Taken every 12 hours, Carbamazepine extended-release capsules provide steady state plasma levels comparable to immediate-release Carbamazepine tablets given every 6 hours, when administered at the same total mg daily dose.
