Carbamazepine is used for controlling certain types of epileptic seizures . It is also used to treat severe pain of the jaw or cheek caused by a facial nerve problem (trigeminal neuralgia). It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Carbamazepine Extended Release Tablets (Zen Retard) – Dosage
Use Carbamazepine Extended Release Tablets (Zen Retard) as directed by your doctor.
A extended-release formulation of Carbamazepine delivers the same dose over a longer period of time when compared to a standard formulation, thereby reducing post-dose peaks and potentially reducing adverse events associated with peak plasma levels.

Missed Dose
